Trolox® is a potent antioxidant used in biological or biochemical applications to reduce oxidative stress or damage. The chemical name is 6-hydroxy-2,5,7,8-tetramethylchroman-2-carboxylic acid. Trolox® is a water-soluble derivative of vitamin E.
